General System Tuning

I am just about to finshed installing my first real system. I was wondering if I could get some suggestions in what needs to be done to tune the system properly. I know that only my ears can tell what sounds best to me, but was hoping to get some advice on what to start on. I basically want a front stage with no rears and subwoofer for the lows, SQ oriented. set everything at 0 on ur deck like bass treble mid etc... and bass boost n shit all off

throw in some cds and adjust ur amp accordingly (the gain) so that theres no distortion

for the sub u can get test tones and adjust it wit a DMM

if u need more info jus say so
