J jrwalte 10+ year member CarAudio.com Elite 986 0 GA Jun 3, 2008 #17 If you kept the 4g run with the sensor and added your own 0g ground I don't think that would be bypassing the sensor. The sensor would still be on the 4g wire to regulate your alternator as it currently does.
