Sharing a Slot Vent

So i bought a dual 12" slot vented sub box. i noticed the subs were sharing the slot vent. It still hits good but should i put a board in there so they both get their own slot vent? Will this effect the spl?

putting a board in there will change the port area a little. I'd leave it alone personally. Nothing wrong with common-chamber enclosures unless you plan on using only one sub at times

that and if your using 2 amps, or 1 for each sub.
