Gearing up to run multiple amps...few questions

Ok, i'm going to run 2 Viper d600's to 2 alpine type r's giving them each 600rms a piece. I have 0 guage power wire already and I understand I need a distribution block that will split it into like 4 guage. Is there any certain place I should put the block? By that I mean should it be as close to the battery I can get or does it really matter?

My head unit has 2 sets or pre-amps so I dont think I need to buy splitters, just another set of cables...should I run the 2 sets of cables on different sides of my car?

Thanks for answers!

fuse the 1/0 near the battery (within 18 in or so) and put your D-block near the amps to shorten the amoutn of 4 ga used. You should need splitter due to the fact that the HU should only have one set of sub pre-outs and you will need to get that same signal to both amps.

are you the subs in a dual enclosure ? both sharing the same box
Yes but the box is dual chambered.

The 1/0 is already fused about 6 inches from the battery.

As far as the pre-amp outputs go...I have 3 in total.

Front, rear, and sub. So I need splitters...1 male and 2 female ends correct?

hmmm....that would be a lot easier. My amp does have 2 sets out outputs, not really sure what they are.

I just checked.

One pair says "Input" over it, the other says "I/O"

Do-able?
