Gauge wire for dual 15s

Hi all,

I am putting 2x 15's (200w RMS each) in an enclosure and I want to make sure I am not limiting myself with wire gauge. I have 2x15's hooked to a 400w RMS amp. Would 16-gauge wire work or do I need to go bigger or double up the 16-gauge wire?

12 gauge or if you have alot of the 16 gauge just double it up

You will be fine with 16 gauge and you don't need to double it up. You're not running a ton of power so 12 gauge is over kill.

What gauge speaker wire if doing 1200 rms @ 1 ohm - i was plannin on 14 Ga - sorry to jack your thread
