well im 100 (i cant find the percent button) that inflation is not the cause of gas prices because back in 03 here in Los Angeles it cost nearly 4 bucks a gallon, and right now its 2.15 a gallon and is going down as we speak, and wage did not increase, but we are going to get a wage increase to 7.50 by january and at the beginning of 08 minimum wage in california will be 9 bucks, //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/woot.gif.aaa6090e619a97b6090d16dd863c5a69.gif ,and by then there will be inflation. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

bad news....bad news......all minimum wage truly does is reward the lazy and uneducated with a guarenteed wage if they decide to get a job.....

anybody who tries and works at it even a little can get far beyong minimum wage without much difficulty......even mcdonalds employees.......

maybe gas shouldn't be where it was when i bought my first car in 02 @ $1.10 a gallon but c'mon hurricanes happen every year, so one hurricane completely ruined the oil market . no one company or production company out plans for disasters of any kind. i won't believe it. i hope gas does continue to go down, who will be the cause of it i dunno, but i would hope that the gov't will be more than the market honestly. and yeah i'm exaggerating everything ain't all all bad but i've gon thru more than an avg 23yr old. ie filing unemployment @ age 20 (long story), i have reason to be pissed at gov't decisions.

nope, i'm a libertarian......i just hate when people blame everything on everybody else.....i didn't vote last election because both candidates were worthless......but GW is at least keeping things chugging along....had kerry won we would all be arabic speaking muslims by now

but due to rising costs of employment, businesses are forced to raise prices, thus countering the higher wages with higher prices. It's a vicious cycle.

yeah i got fvcked over by my co-op. economy was bad and they didn't have the cash to keep me on. this was mid-summer and at the time i had just moved into my old apt to stay in cincy for the summer to work for them(i have no family in the city and now had no income). so i couldn't do anything but file until i found another job.

Raising minimum wage shouldn't have the affect you perceive it to have...considering that inflation went crazy while minimum wage remained literally untouched for decades...fact of the matter is minimum wage is far below what it should be, and should have been in years past, when comparing it to inflation and cost of living...

i contradicted myself?....i didn't blame kerry for anything.....i just said what i think would have happened if kerry were pres......even if the war was a bad move at least they're fighting us over there and not on our own soil......
