wow, that's even dumber than the usual crap the uninformed spew in here
our government does not control gas prices beyong the per gallo tax they put on it which doesn't change all that often........if you think otherwise you're wrong......deal with it

ffs im going to say this one more time LOOK AT PRICES IN THE PAST AND NOW...... when gas prices were say 1.00 per gallon, what was the average wage? ok now that the gas price is higher, is not the average wage higher also? WOW inflation what a concept.

but its the dam war man, when we pay for gas we also pay a tax on it, so what they did was raise the prices on gas so that we pay more tax on gasoline so that we pay for the gasoline for the tanks on iraq, man is the government dude, they control people mind.

that inflation stuff is bull. i started drivin 5yrs ago and gas is 100% higher but i ain't makin 100% more nor do i pay 100% more for anything i use other than gas. and don't give me that crap that the gov't has no control that's bull too. the gov't, ie court system, legislation and such can control that sh!t. fvck bush, everything for me personally is all bad since bush.

that's a sales tax....there's no sales tax on gas......there's an item tax....if you put $10 in gas in your car and then go to pay for it thay charge you $10.....not $10 plus tax.....there's a state and federal per gallon tax on gas....it is there imbedded in the price.....which is why the fair tax would rock.....get rid of embedded taxes..................//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Inflation doesn't play as large a role in gas as you think.

After all, gas was $.99/gal back in ~99, whereas this year it's jumped over $3.00...have wages increase thrice over? I think not.

Fact is, our society played a large roll in the price hike...look what everyone was driving in early 2000's...big, inefficient SUV's, with 10 mpg.

Also, take into account the fact that countries such as China and India are ever so increasing, and they're just starting to see a large increase in cars on the road...

well im 100 (i cant find the percent button) that inflation is not the cause of gas prices because back in 03 here in Los Angeles it cost nearly 4 bucks a gallon, and right now its 2.15 a gallon and is going down as we speak, and wage did not increase, but we are going to get a wage increase to 7.50 by january and at the beginning of 08 minimum wage in california will be 9 bucks, //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/woot.gif.aaa6090e619a97b6090d16dd863c5a69.gif ,and by then there will be inflation. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

gas was unbelievably underpriced in this country since the shortages in the 70's, when katrina hit and it blew the prices way high they were too high......they came back down to where the market actually dictated they should be......

Gas was underpriced because it wasn't being imported like it is today...and OPEC wasn't around...
