If I hear one more person say Pres. Bush is responsible for the cost of fuel going down because of the upcoming elections.................. why I oughta........................ aarrrRRRGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif

Try to educate yourselves before opening your stupid mouth!!!!!

Okay....maybe that's a little to aggressive--sorry,........ but, but, but..........

I read through the "gas prices" stickey...I think that's why the frustration. Some of you really get it, some understand it, (kind of), and at least know, (kind of), whom, or better yet, WHAT is actually responsible for fuel prices. This is more a post directed at those whom are quick to point fingers at the wrong people...

It is a reactive market with many factors. Yes, the decisions that our political governing bodies (Presidential, Senatorial, and Congressional) make are contributors, but, are not THE reason, yet it is more influenced in conjunction with weather and people whom trade in the futures markets. Ya wanna blame someone... shoot them bastards! LOL! If it comes down to money....human nature is going to take over and we will see the greediest of the greedy (stock market) making all the ACTUALL financial decisions that affect us at the pumps, etc.

I started to explain in my own words what ACTUALLY is happening, then I stumbled across this web site that pretty much puts it all in to perspective.

read this: http://money.howstuffworks.com/ref/gas-price-decline.htm?cid=rss1

then discuss.

Pshh.. yea right man. The president controls anything and everything at all times. In fact, most of the nation's economical decisions and deciding factors can be influenced by the push of a button. Literally. You should see the control panel Dubya's got in his office, it's a bad mofo.

And i remember when it cost me 12 dollars to fill my tank //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

if the bastards who had all the oil werent holding it back gas prices would be less than $1 a gallon
no... its called supply and demand... they supply the oil, and they demand as much as possible for it cuz america drives ridiculously large vehicles. lol.

But seriously, its simple business "physics"... the demand for oil is really high, and as demand goes up, so does price. As supply comes up, price goes down, but OPEC controls the rate of supply, which means if they get in a hissy fit, we could be paying 5 bucks a gallon and there wouldnt be much we could do about it.

Yeah because Bush owns all of the oil wells that we use for Gas production //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif ...OPEC is the one that controls gas prices. We need to Drill in ANWAR good ammount of oil there. That would help out IMO

its actually Bush the person we should blame for gas prices because of the war in Iraq, who do u think is paying for the fuel that is used to supply those bigass tanks and helicopters, and dont forget the hummers. If we werent in war gas prices will cost much less then its right now.

wow, that's even dumber than the usual crap the uninformed spew in here

our government does not control gas prices beyong the per gallon tax they put on it which doesn't change all that often........if you think otherwise you're wrong......deal with it

ffs im going to say this one more time LOOK AT PRICES IN THE PAST AND NOW...... when gas prices were say 1.00 per gallon, what was the average wage? ok now that the gas price is higher, is not the average wage higher also? WOW inflation what a concept.
