Gains

I used a DMM today to get my voltage at 31.5 since my amp will be putting out 500rms @ 2ohms. On my deck I had loudness on and a +6dB bass boost on. On the amp i had the bass EQ at 4dB and set the gains from there to get 31.5volts running a 50hz test tone. Should I have turned off my bass boosters or I did I do it right by leaving them on since that's how I would be rolling? Thanks

you fail for bass boosting

It's fine, but you'll probably end up with a low freq imbalance relative to the full range speakers. If that sounds good to you go with it, but an SQ listener would probably tell you it sounds way too boomy.

I always set the eq levels flat (o) on most decks and dont use bass boost. Set the amp with a dmm then readjust the eq levels to your liking.
Well it's not really bass boost I just had loudness on that boosts the the bass and highs. The thing with the EQ on my amp is that the voltage shoots up when its on and I have to have my gain to the left of the Nom setting something like -.5v.
