Gains/losses

I am currently running a single Fi 18Q in a 4.25cu. sealed enclosure. It is being powered by a soundstream tarantula 2000d, 2000w @ 1ohm currently. I have the second 18Q arriving in 3 days.

My question is I will only be able to push 1500w @2ohm to the pair until I get the second tarantula. I almost thought about keeping it this way, 750w to each.

How big of a difference would it be going from the 750w to the 2k? The subs have bp power upgrades 1500w.

Pretty dramatic or no? What kind of db's is this setup capable of in a large suv?

you will be fine running that until you get the xtra power. but once u get it i dont see that much of a gain as far as output

you cant estimate the db's.....it all depends on the power, electrical system and mainly the box....these q's are more for SQ, not getting down on the meter

with a SUV....tune it low would be the best way to go in those vehicles IMO and you would be alot more pleased ported then sealed in a SUV

I prefer to stay sealed, I think im gonna need the extra power to compenstate for the smaller enclosure. This sub is uber loud, I cant even imagine them ported. But like you said they ar sq subs and should be in a sealed sq box. So you dont think I will see much going from 750w to 2,000w?
