Okay so I go play with my amp and different sub again. long story short. I set the Amp with a dmm at 45hz, sub is dvc4 and amp puts out 800w at 2ohms so voltage should not go over 40(after all the math is done). When it goes over 40 my amp gives a winy noise. So when setting the gains sub is not hooked up.
HU is at 40 (max i listen to) & sub control at 3, just so I can put the sub to 6(max) when vol is at like 25 during normal driving.
Okay so now I go play late nite tip. playing playing....then i slowly turn it up to 40 with sub control at 6max, and I am also checking with the dmm, its at like 25v or so. If it was at this vol and sub control at 6max playing 45hz test tone, it would be clipping. My question is does it matter if the sub is hooked up or not when using the dmm.
Either that or late night tip is playing below 30hz and my subsonic filter is filtering it out.
