gain setting for strapped amps...

ok i got 2 viper 1200s strapped together powering 2 sx d2's do i just set the gain as if it was 1 viper and it would be sqrt(1*1200)=34.6 do i just take off the rcas and the speaker wires so they arnt straped and then put it all back when its set right...

Wouldn't your manual tell you which gain to set?

I think that you turn the slave down all the way and use the master to set gain.

ya i think i did it all right it sounds good and i dont hear andy distortion so it should be right but i must say i am very disappointed in my sx's i thought they would be much louder im really hoping something is not quite right because im ready to look for something else

Give em a couple month to soften up, thell be pretty stiff out of the box.

so they will get louder over some time...cause **** they move alot just not making all sound i was lookin for...
