Heya...
I had a Type R hooked up to a MRD-M1005 Rated at 1000W RMS, but some people are saying that it its only doing 750W RMS, but my amp did not come with a birthsheet, so I have no idea where its at with the RMS wattage.
Anyways, I bought Digital Multimeter today, and by my calculations I learned that I am looking for 40v on the multi meter if I count the amp as a 800W RMS amp.
My question is... This is making sure that the amp is not clipping, but what about the sub, its a 500W sub, and I mean its pounding like crazy, some songs are just almost too much for the sub.
What should I do? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Just simply turn down the gain till there is no distortion on ANY songs?
Also, I have an Alpine deck, and I heard that I should have the sub level set to +15 when adjusting the gain.... is this 100% fact?
Thanks in advance!
