apparently you don't listen to the news...we've had hundreds of kinds of toys taken off the shelves in the past 2 months because they have lead paint! TOYS IMPORTED FROM CHINA FOR NO ****ING REASON! babies have this thing where they like to chew on things(in case your stupid *** didn't know) and YES, the chances of them getting lead poisoning from chewing on a toy with lead paint is small, its the whole fact that the government doesnt give 2 shits about what comes in to the country--

AND if you never even thought about it--domestic cars used to be 100% american! 69 boss 429, 69 camaro, all the beautiful vettes, all the trucks...then something crazy happened--

IMPORTS happened! the stupid japs brought cars in(without tariffs--why? i still dont know) with metal they got for next to nothing from shitty 3rd world countries around them, and since they are the only halfway intelligent asian community managed to copy us and put together a car that kind of looks like ours(but uglier) and since we dont charge a tax on them bringing it here, they were able to charge significantly less, while our auto companies got steel, plastic, fabrics, and any other material from the good ole USA...all of a sudden, here is jap car selling for crazy cheap prices because everything the auto companies bought here was a lot more expensive than what the japs got--result:

USA=much better quality, more expensive

JAPS=not so great quality, cheap as ****

why didn't the imports fail? people living in the us are ignorant bastards and had no clue what we had without the shitty cars(and not ignorant in the way you used it on me which didn't make any sense at all btw)

so then, the us auto companies had no choice but to get their materials from the same shitty 3rd world countries as japan--just to stay alive...so now both domestic and foreign cars are both shit!

the japs have since fixed the shitty build jobs(but not the uglyness) of their cars, so now they run for 1000000 miles, but you still look like a stupid **** fa@ggot when you drive one(just thought i'd let all you traitors know)

and US? nah, other than their top end models, everything sucks--i think it has something to do with the fact that we get all our shit from mexico! and have it put together...in mexico

but that is why i hate people who drive foreign cars--supporting the transformation of american auto from jekyll to hyde

edit: italian cars are beautiful--italian bikes are beautiful...they only use the top end of everything(ferrari, ducati, MV agusta, lambo) which is why i have no problem with italian made shit! only the best! they are in no price race, only a race to make the best!

Domestic vehicles were 100% american because we were on bad terms with asia on the count of us nuking them. The japanese built a car that appealed to the average American consumer; an efficient, solid, inexpensive vehicle. Not every american in the 60's and 70's could afford the gas guzzling land barges that detroit was pumping out. So, here we see a basic concept of business. Supply and demand. They supplied cheap cars, that Americans demanded. I don't see a problem there.

Name one car of theirs that looks like a domestic, that was produced after the domestic's appearance ont he market. And further more, it is purely your opinion. In fact, many japanese sports cars from the 70's were modeled after successful European cars. For instance, the toyota 2000gt and the datsun 240z were modeled after jaguars.

No, look at Honda accords from the 90's. Now look at a comparable american car from the same era. Honda: 200k+ miles, interiors held up like a champ, easy to work on, economical. Lets look at the Ford taurus: MAYBE 200k miles, less efficient, used crappy materials, cheap build quality.

Honda wins this one.

And again, we bought the import because the domestics weren't as economical, and were more expensive. How many people do you see working at McDonalds driving Escalades? None. Why? They're expensive, and they can't afford them. You'll see them driving used imports. Why? They're cheap, reliable, and much better looking.
