i believe explorers with the upgraded jbl subwoofer you had to do this too no?

i would look into what comes with the car i would put money on the radio not being wired right most likely the remote for the built in amp. or needing some sort of "integration" kit.

cut a +/- at the radio harness take 9v battery & put the wire to it..

if you cant get it to pop you didnt bie-pass the amp the corect way..

12v drill batt works too..

Keep us posted..

He's talking about the speaker + and - wires. With the car off, try touching those wires to a 9v battery.

Did you connect the blue/white from the deck to the blue OR blue/white on the Hyundai (Saturn) harness?

i dont remember, i might of, maybe not. check that 1st thing in the morning. im actually tryin to remember , the only wire not hooked up is an orange/white wire that is on the aftermarket plug. there wasnt another blue/white on it i dont think. but im pretty sure it wasnt. like i said. 1st thing in the mornin i will look at it again. thanks guys for your help though.

My monte Had the same prob when I put my Hu in.. I had to but an interface that made it retain the chimes and such.. when I put that in my speakers came back to life.. Only other thing I could think of would be running new wire directly from Hu to speaker.. but thats a b*tch to do

i officially hate my new car. an it all revolves around the radio. for some odd reason Hyundai decided to make the Santa Fe w/ the Monsoon sound system, have a Saturn radio harness. now after i get the right harness i wire everything up an guess what................no sound. i went back checked all my wires an they are all right. i am now pissed off:verymad: //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif
Hey, I just did an install on a 2007 Hyundai Sante Fe, I listed below the right harness you will need.

1) http://cgi.ebay.com/2007-HYUNDAI-SANTA-FE-RADIO-INSTALL-WIRE-HARNESS-7302_W0QQitemZ140094129069QQcmdZViewItem

Thats the one I used. Worked great on the first try, and just finished doing Infinity Kappa Components in the doors, and Kappa Coaxials in the rear, any other questions let me know.

I did a head unit in my friend's '06 Tiburon, the stereo was an Infinity though. It was picky as hell.

It didn't want ANYTHING connected to it that wasn't already there. I had to remove the LOC and wire the remote wire directly to the ignition switch because anything I spliced onto the stereo wires made it screw up.
