Im planning for future setup as of right now i have 3 setups, 3 12" Fi Qs Ported, 2 12" Fi BTL's, 3 12" Kicker L7s Ported, 3 15" Fi Qs Sealed. Which do you think would be the best option? For room i only have 7.26^ft Total to work with. Either options will be powered off ~3000wRMS most likely a Hifonics XX Collossus. I want a setup that will be a night and day difference in spl from my current setup which is 2 l7 12s off 1000wRMS which already is crazy loud //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Well i havent really heard Qs and i didnt want to tell you to go with them being that i never heard them so im just going off what I know. In all honesty you can't go wrong either way.

Im a ported guy so Im gonna say go with either the q's or the L7's ported. Both are great speakers, with great customer service. But I dont know that Polecat guy from kicker sure looks at my butt kinda funny! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

from what i understand the ssd's CAN peak a bit tad higher than the q at a certain frequency, whether that would get you a higher peak score would really depend on your box and car. the q's are supposed to be louder at basically every other frequency and have a less steep roll off.

are you only concerned with spl scores, or do you want loud to the ear? not concerned about sound quality at all?

looking for a crazy SQL daily driver setup

what ever you have room for and power for.

I would do 3 Q 15's and 3000-4000 watts if you have it. Just because it would be so **** loud and low.

for wow factor I'd try to get 4000 watts and 2 BTL's 12's. But if your just going to be using that amp go ahead and do 3 Q's what ever size fits your application

kind of a stupid thread btw

just re read the thread, I say with that cu ft to work with, i'd do 3 fi q's at 30hz
wangin.
thats kinda the option im leaning toward right now but i would tune @ 35hz:up2somet: If the L7s didnt require such big boxes i would just add another one since i know what they can do.

If you were going for SPL, I'd say go for the 3 L7s ported. However, for SQL, out of your choices, I'd go with 3 Qs sealed - hands down. 3 sealed Qs will get plenty loud enough for anything short of SPL competing and will sound much better than the L7s. I had 2 12L7s ported and ditched them after 3 months for a 15" Mag sealed. The L7s get loud, insanely loud for their cost, but they get pretty muddy with fast beats and just aren't a very musical sub IMHO. They don't sound like *** like some claim, but they're definitely not a SQ sub.
