fusion powerplant 15in sub box design help

ok, checked in my car and there is no way ill get 32in width in there with 4in ports on the sides. The width definately has to be scaled down a bit ?

ok, checked in my car & there is no way ill get 32in width in there with 4 in ports not being close to the walls. Thw width is definatelly gonner have to be scalled down. Sorry to be a pain. Still want as low a tuning frequency responce as possible tho ?

Ok cheers man.

I measured the width & 32in will fit. I measured the height & 16in and a bit is tight but will just about go. As for depth, there is alot but I would like to keep it between 12in & 15in as I want a bit of boot space.

hope this helps, low as possible tuning please, excellent ?

Best I could do, is 2.5 @ 33hz.

Should work well with the drive based on its parameters.

dude, I really really appreciate all your help man. Im gonner build that last box. Over here in london, uk, the majority of boxex hold round ports not slots.

Just one more question, is there a big difference between 30hz as in your 1st design compared to 33hz in your 2nd design ie a deeper bass responce.

will this give me real deep dirty bass ?

Also, what would happen if the slot port on the inside was longer out of interest ?

2.5 cubic feet for a 15" woofer seems really really small. I had my 15 in a 2.75 cubic foot box and I think it definitely choked it. Now its in a new 3.5 cubic foot box and tuned lower and I love the low end output.

2.5 is all that he could get, I mentioned it was not ideal but based on the ts parameters is should do well.

increasing the port lenght will decrease the box tuning and net volume.

currently the ports lenght is a total of 31"

(port 1 = 11", port 2 = 16")

here is what happens as you increase the lenght.

+ 2"

Net Volume: 2.46

Tuning Freq: 32.36

+ 4"

Net Volume: 2.43

Tuning Freq: 32.12

+ 6"

Net Volume: 2.37

Tuning Freq: 31.69

and so on..

You will most likely not see (hear) the difference between the 30hz - 33Hz tuning, but will will notice if you take any more volume away from the gross of the box... as mentioned above this will pretty much "choke" the driver.

sweet. Ok, Thanks to all y'all for ur help, would love to buy u all a beer but y'all live WAY to far. Im gonner go & get my wood cut, they cut it down here for nothing if you buy a sheet. will give them the specs & bobs ur uncle. will let y'all know how it sounds when its all done & ill get the pics up, sweet daddy
