If you bridged your amp with 2 4 ohm subwoofers wired in paralell, the amp will see a 2 ohm mono load. In this case using a larger fuse would be like helping your amp commit suicide. Also the amp could be seeing a dead short either within the speaker wire or within itself. My friends phoenix gold zx500 kept blowing 150 amp fuses. So he main lined it and it went up in smoke.
