Ive searched and read alot and was just wondering if this could be the problem..

My fuses blew so i replaced then and they blew again....but when i first replaced them i unconnect the power wire but not the ground. I read, somewhere in the many threads on this problem, that you can mess the amp up internally if you dont take out the ground when replacing fuses. And if that was the case, when you opened it up would the problem be visable? because i dont see anything...

thanks for the reply

ill go buy a few more fuses tomarrow, i hope i didnt mess anything up... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Before you do ANYTHING. You should check for shorts in your power line. There may be an underlying problem to why you are blowing fuses. The wires coming off of the amp to the speakers may have shorted somewhere as well.

Well my power wire is about 1 ft to the anl fuse then about 5 inches to the amp...(battery in the trunk..) so i dont think they is any problems...

Should i re-run the speaker wire? or just look for anything that looks wrong and cut and re-strip the part that goes into the amp and try that..?

Also i read about using a bigger remote wire? mines pretty small...could that be the problem?

Thanks again ihope i can get this working..

No.

However, there could also be a problem internally in the amp, or a short in the wiring somewhere like John mentioned. When does the fuse blow, as soon as you plug it in, when you turn the amp on, only after a certain volume??

No.

It blows a few seconds after i turn my car on.

Sounds like maybe a short in the speaker wire, since it's not blowing until the amp itself turns on......
Well at least it might not be the amp....how would i go about checking if this is the problem? Thanks for the help.

Could be a toasted amp. Output transistors

Well i went out and bought another set of fuses. This time i check all the power wire which looked fine, i checked the connection to the battery, and the ground, which were both good.

So i unconnected it all and put the ground in.

Then i unconnected the power from the input on the ANL fuse and connected the pwr to the amp, then reconnected the input in the ANL fuse.

At this point the fuses were fine. So I connected the remote, and turned the car on, about a second later i heard a very very faint click, and they were blown. ... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
