Fuse Question

LOL haha I guess I should of tried that first.
And to the second guy...I have it fused right by the battery and then by distro block is fused.
Yea I know, But to my understanding the point of the fuse within 18in of the battery and on the d-block is to prevent the wire from burning....

The underhood fuse is to protect the wire, the distro fuse can be to protect the amp, but should never be larger than the capacity of the wire and is a must when stepping down in wire size where the previous fuse in-line is larger than the rated capacity of the smaller wire. JL amps don't have built in fuses so you fuse at the distro to protect the amp (it calls for a smaller fuse than the max capacity for the wire.). Going with a fuse sized for the amp rather than the wire is more conservative and a god idea.
