fuse keeps tripping

ok, i have a cerwin vega vega 7000 amplifier and when i turn up the volume past 25 on my headunit, after a minute or two, my circuit breaker (fuse) trips (60 amps) on my power wire next to the battery. i have approx. 18ft of 4 gauge wire running from the front to the back of the jeep. My amplifier's fuse is also rated at 60 amps (30x2). it is powering a cerwin vega 15d4 subwoofer (dual 4 ohm voice coil) wired in parallel to 2 ohms. Would it be ghetto to just wire up one voice coil?

specs of the amp are:

700x1 @ 4ohms

350x2 @ 2ohms

175x2 @ 4ohms

would upgrading to a 0/1 gauge wire help with this problem or getting a cap.? both? i think when the bass hits at that volume it is drawing too much current and then my breaker trips, but if i upgrade to a bigger breaker/fuse, wires, or cap., then wouldnt my fuses on the amp blow? what am i doing wrong?

a larger guage wire would make it safer to run a bigger fuse. you could put a slightly larger fuse on your current wiring with out much danger than might minimize your fuse popping.

yeah, but then my fuses on the amp would blow. It happend once, i dont know why the power wire fuse didnt blow before the amps'.
