Fuse Housing Problem

Hey I bought an Absolute Wiring Kit 950 from Onlinecarstereo.Com - Wholesale Car Audio/Stereo Deals At Bargain Prices.

It's a 4 gauge wire, 80 amp inline fuse, 3000 watt wiring kit.

My setup is 2 12" Alpine Type R Subs.. Alpine MRP.M1000 Amp... Alpine CDA-9886

I perfectly wired my entire car but when I was testing the subs, I blew the 80 amp fuse

because i wired the subs wrong. I replaced it with a 60 amp fuse

**My friend has the exact same wiring kit, has the same 60 amp fuse, and is running 1000 watts to one 12" Alpine Type X. He didnt experience my problem.**

I got it to work perfectly fine after calling a friend of mine. The subs are amazing.

Now the problem is, the housing of my inline fuse is melted and morphed and there is now way of me switching my fuse, it would break the housing (its plastic).

Should I be concerned about this and have it replaced, or see what happens later on down the road?

And for those who ask, I did not blow my 60 amp fuse yet. Apparently there is a safety bulb inside the fuse that turns on when its blow. (Obviously it hasn't yet because my subs work).

Please help!

Thanks!

- Big Mike
