it is used between rca and amp

it reduces unwanted noise

while not hurting sound quality

if your pioneer is making a hiss

pull head unit

use 16 awg speaker wire

strip the speaker wires jacket

remove rca from back of head unit

take stripped speaker wire and do a fugure 8 around the rca's input on back of head unit

leave 2 " excess wire

remove the closest bolt on back of head unit

wrap excess 2" wire around bolt

re-fasten bolt

plug in rca in head unit

HISS WILL BE GONE

i did mine by there was a small screw on the left side of the frame of the h.u. i unscrewed it a lil put wire around screwed down and put rca over wire but on the rca jack on the h.u. and it went away, i was jw if this would work

but i would be a liar if told you for sure it will work

probably will help or eliminate it , but wont make it wosre
