i just got my substage all hooked up, take it out for a little test drive, system cuts off, i pop the trunk amp is in protect so i pull down my back seat and look at rear battery move some wires see sparks.. and realize that one of my fuse holders let go of the wire from the front to rear battery. could this have damaged my amp and how do i get it outta protect? couldt get to wires last night because the box is sitting on top of them and its one of those "spartan kick" boxes just barely fits needs 2 people to remove it.

amp is Mean Machine 4000

wonder how many of them register just to make fun of you :/
jk...hope its ok...next time youll make sure to double check all the connections, huh?
yeah, dont think i like these holders very much, i broke a buse like ripped one of the mounts off trying to tighten the little end covers.... there blue wave inline fuse holders : /

what makes me so mad was i was outside all day running the wires under my car changing the alt putting the big *** 106 lb batter in the back and then spartan kicking box in hooking up amp only to get like 20 mins play time.

lol...last year me and a buddy did the same thing. Competition in the morning, spent all night putting is car together, got it done at like 2 am. Turned it on, listened to one song, then listened to webbie give me that. Middle of the song, smoke started pouring out of the trunk. Ground came loose from the amp and fucked it

I'll agree with that, just like anything electrical nothing is permanent and nothing has a set life. (I work in IT, so we see this on even brand new equiptment either abused/or out of box)

If you didn't see smoke - you're probably good, just keep it unhooked for awhile, I had this happen to an amp and just said **** it, let it die and picked up a new one.

What can ya do? lol

REMOVE THE POWER. Amps leave protect after you unplug them.
