Fuse for 4G wire and a SS Rubicon 1600

I will only be using about half power. I figure I'll get a fuse that can handle the full load though. Can you have a fuse that's TOO big? I was thinking 200A especially because fuses are so cheap.

you can't just throw any size fuse you want on wire, your fuse size is in direct relation to what the amp load your wire is capable of handling.

If youre using 4g OFC wire, you want a 150A fuse.

If you're gonna get 4g go with the OFC. CCA wire isn't worth it unless you are getting 1/0

It doesnt.... fuse for wire amperage capacity... According to Knu's site, 100A for CCA 4ga, 150A is good for OFC 4ga...

If your amp has higher fuse rating, you need bigger wire....

4ga is the biggest the 1600 can handle.

Any last thoughts? Rubicon 1600 can go up to 4ga wire so I'm kinda stuck here as far as I know.

Well if you get the OFC wire from Knu you will be fine more than likely. I'd just get some 1/0 though and trim it down at the end so you can fit it in the terminal.

Yea, you could always get fancy and buy one of those!
