2 12" Alpine Type R's in a prefab BB box running on some "big amp" ( he wouldnt let me see it) Said it was a 4k amp and the gain was at absolute 0. I saw 8 gauge Wally world ground wire and the 12"s were bottoming out. Hard.
Let him listen to my 2 sundown E8's on 1200w RMS from the orion and he responded "I cant really even tell you have subs" yet my hatch rattles and its dynamatted vs his non dynamatted rattle. Was telling me about his soundstream 4k he had back in kansas and how he was stepping up to Memphis subs. Also told me about his RE 4x6's.

Lol. All dumbasses around here always have 1000 watt amps, never 4000 watts. I see the schosche 8gauge wire alot as well though

Dumbest shit I have heard would be practically anything coming out of the mouths of the teenagers that come in to the shop I work at. I am constantly hearing stories of glass breaking from kids with walmart setups, stories involving equipment that was never produced, etc.. I just sit there and laugh

i had this dude tell me one time that his system was soo loud,it vibrated the paint right off his vehicle

I went to New Image AutoSports here close to me, just to get battery terminals. I never buy shit from car audio shops. Nothing but salesman who know jack shit about car audio.

The manager tryed to sell me 2 15" Kicker CVX's in a Probox with a ZX Kicker 1000.1 and said if I didn't hit 160dB that he would let me keep all the equipment for free but if it did I had to pay for it all.

And he wanted to use their meter or whatever they had there in the install bay. I said, dude, bring it to one of our TBP events and if it does 146+ I'll give you $20 and buy you a beer.

A friend of mine is going to Hartford U, and is studying acoustics engineering. (Basically, learning the physics behind sound waves and designing applications with this knowledge.) He then said to a friend of ours as our friend was wheeling his Bass Cabinet (Speaker cabinet for a Bass Guitar) that, "You should take off half the back. There for the speakers can breathe." When I pointed out that it doesn't work like that, he said, "DUDE! I'm going to school for this shit!" I went to explain the mechanics of a speaker, and I explained how you don't need to let the speaker "breathe." He then re-stated, "I'm going to school for this, I think I know more than you, dude!" How about 155db out of 6 15" Solo baric (Round) each one in there own 1.5cuft box stacked on top of each other in a Cutlass calia. using 6- 800 watt usacoustics amps.

I have told many people on the forum and they all tell me im crazy. Oh and he did the 155 runnin it at 31hz

A friend said his MA Audio Subs (low end) were competition quality. That i would need to spend about 200 a sub to get them. Oh, and this is coming from a guy who has a DUB amp with his supposedly $300 capacitor that he got for free....
