ok here it goes,
when i first got my ssx 18 a almost two years ago, my friend alex, who is kinda into audio, (we put a nice alpine setup in his ride,) kept saying and sketching himself out while riding in my car that 18 inch woofers are illegal, this made me and everybody else who witnessed him sketching out about this think he is rolling on acid or something. he wouldnt stop mentioning it for 2 months, he was so sure of himself. finally i purposely got pulled over by a cop and alex was with me and told the officer to tell his disillusional *** that 18 inch woofers are not illegal lmao.
ok heres the most retarded one i have,
my friends shop was getting real busy a few weeks ago, so i took customers and helped sell some stuff to them, well these two kids, 10th grades who just got their cars, come in saying they want the head unit, door speakers and two subs, blah blah blah. so i start showing them the re's, ma's, l7's and jl woofers and so they start tapping the cones on em like everyone does,,,,, well one of the says "hey why is the surface of this sub so hard, how can the cone wiggle and move to move my cars air and create bass, the cone is supposed to be very soft to change shape", i acted like a jackass and acted all suprised and said "oh man you are right, the cone is supposed to feel like a waterbed!!!, none of these subs here do!!! i think we have defects! hold on" so i told the kid to come to my jeep outside and lets see if my cones are like jello, so i let him tap my re's cones after opening the trunk and then tell him to get in! so we turn on my jeep and im like "lets see if i have bass" and i go through my play lists and find 34hz test tone. and let it rip and this kid acts like hes never heard bass hahaha and jumps up sticks his head out the window, then realizes he can just open the door to get out lmao.
after that i told him yeah i guess the coil in the subs move the woofer in and out and that makes the bass!!!!! he agreed after that
job well done
