i took a trip to a local car audio shop in my town. they pretty much just had memphis and JL stuff, the sales man told me about a kid he put a 15" Memphis PR in a sealed box in his intrepid and how he felt like he was going to throw up when sitting in it.

i know the kid from school, my car is easily 3X louder than that lmao.

and then he tried to get me to by dynamat for my car, i told him i had some damplifyer pro comming in and he said hes never herd of it and dynamat's the best sound deadening system in the world.

I went to a local shop looking for a matching orion at one time for a friend, they had said they had some older orion stuff. When i got there it was all newer directed shit. I got to talking to the guy and said something about not wanting new orion because of the buyout, and he went on to tell me they were not bought by directed but by west coast customs (west coast customs series orions) I then said no but even if directed did not own them, which they do, why would i want a west coast customs amp. He asked me if i have ever seen pimp my ride and said after seeing all the sick stuff they do why i would think they wouldnt be able to build amps.

My friend just told me thats what his buddy said, guess everyone on CA had it wrong all along.

They technically are... high efficiency (exception of class d), lower THD, easier on equipment.

I had a guy at CarToys tell me that another battery wouldnt help with light dimming. Instead he said i will just need a 2 farad cap. A couple weeks later i was in looking for 0 gauge wire and the same guy tried to sell me a 4 gauge kit saying it was all i would need because its for 3000watt systems. The fuse was only 100amps! Needless to say I dont go there anymore

saw a kid duct tape is power wire together (had 2 short strands) by his muffler, on the way home his muffler melted his wire and shorted out his amps.

That same kid installed a t1 15" in his trunk off a cheap sony amp and his subs wouldn't work unless he slammed his trunk when he killed is car. Then he couldn't get in his trunk cause it was all locked up and you have this t1 beating the shitt out of his trunk lol

i had a friend take out the speakers on the rear deck of his car and he made the holes bigger and put 2 10s in them. He then just used the stock speaker wire and connected the subs directly into them. No amp or anything and he thought his shit was "professional" quality.
