Can i use the car subs i have now there 2 RF 10's, i dont really want to buy a plate amp, well just give me some tip/ideas plz thanks, and will the fullrangers be good i really dont want to do mids and tweeters, could i use a car component setup if i did use a tweet and a mid and also some recomended those 12watt tangbands, how woulkd that work with around 75rms from most receiveers and can those get loud and clear with that much power.............. thanks for the help

OK thats kinda complicated let me re-type it:

!!!!!!REMEMBER IM TRYING TO KEEP THE PRICE AS LOW AS POSSIBLE FOR EVERYTHING!!!!!

i will soon be getting a 5.1 receiver

1. Can anyone recommend:

2. a 5.1 off ebay for cheap (under $100)

3. 2 Fullrange speakers for the setup ( At or Under $35)

4. 1 sub (any size at or under $75)

and answering the following:

1. Can i run 1 or 2 of my dual 4 10 inch subs off of the receiver (RF's 400rms each)

2. Am i going to need to use mids and tweeters for a good sounding setup? ( i want to avoid crossovers and keep the price down if i can)

3. If u do recommend comps, can i use caraudio comps is there a differance?

4. some one recomemnded the 3in fullrange tangbands ( i think lemans did a thread on them for his H/T system) there 12 watts rms each and would those sound? and how could i run those off a receiver which will prolyl be at least 75 watts per channel?

And if theres a good site for H/t enclosures and designs a link would help, thx for the help!!! !!!!!!REMEMBER IM TRYING TO KEEP THE PRICE AS LOW AS POSSIBLE FOR EVERYTHING!!!!!

with that kind of budget i honestly think you would be better waiting and saving up a little more money.

and as for the rf subs you cant easily run those off the reciever, a plate or pro amp would be your best bet for those.

a pair of those in fostexs recommended back loaded horns will probably be very nice. and then maybe a tang band 8" sub with a plate amp. you could use those RF subs and then a plate amp if you want. you'll need a plate amp for the subs.

heres the plans for the back loaded horn for the fostex full range.

or maybe a pair of these each in a .44 ft^3 sealed enclosure.

You can wire two either firing in the same direction and add a tweeter for the top end, or fire one back and one forward and not use a tweet.
think he'd do well designing a dipole if he started the thread?

i do like the dappolito style suggestion though.
