I pretty much need to know what wires, harnesses, and other products etc. I need. I know this seems really sad to most of you but I'm new to car audio and you have to start somewhere... Anyways here's the specs.

Car: 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

Headunit: Either : Pioneer Premier DEH-P690UB or Pioneer Premier DEH-P590iB

Front Stage: Passive Components both sides getting 150-200w rms,, Most likely Phoenix Gold RSD's or a CDT type brand in the $200's.

Front Stage AMP: MTX Audio XThunder 504X- Bridged @ 4ohms 150x2 (underated) going either under one of the seats or in the trunk ( wherever is most effective)

Subs: 2 12" alpine type r's 500-800 wrms each in a Dual ported enclosure going in the trunk.

Sub AMP: Hifonics BXi 1606D

Could somebody give me a general overview of a reccomended general setup, and the types of wires you would recommend + other items i need for the install. I'll be taking all the equipment to somebody to install.

Also what would you think the full install would cost? Thanks for any help you can give me, much appreciated.

All i really wanna know is the general type of wire and what a good brand is for it.. Not looking to get very specific. And also if I need an alternator and what kind, stuff like that. Thanks

Am I being to bland? Like what type gauges would you reccomend? What wires go to what? What do I need to run from the speakers to the amp to the headunit and from the subs to the amp to the headunit? Are there any simple guides I could read?

you will need 2 sets of rca's, one remote wire, one run of 1/0 power wire, distribution block, and a roll of 12 or 14 gauge speaker wire

edit: and ground wire for the amps

yeah knuconceptz.com is probably the best place to order it all too.

I got a 20 foot run of 4 gauge power wire, some 12 gauge speaker wire, ring terminals (which you will need to connect wire to the battery and for the ground cables so I would order 3 or 4)

You will also need a fuse block and a few fuses (make sure to get the right sizes)

You will also need a distro block to hook the power wire into (So you can splice it off to each amp)

One run of remote wire plus some spare so you can connect both amps (just order like 25-30 feet)

I think thats pretty much it. Any reason you are not doing the install yourself? It will probably cost you pretty much to get all that installed

Well I have no clue how to install it, where to put what, how to ground stuff, etc etc. Is it fairly easy? I'm smart and good with electronics I just don't want to mess anything up on my car because it will be sold in a couple years. I have some friends that might help install the only thing I don't wanna mess with is setting gains and frequencies and wiring the subs n such lol. And advice on anything else? Are those amp kits with a bunch of diff stuff from kicker any good? Those seem safe and easy..
