First off I would like to say thanks for any advice in advance.

Okay so here it goes. I am doing a mass over haul on my Chrysler 300 I want it to be loud and sound good to. My budget is around $2000 USD with some wiggle room and for right now I am mostly focusing on the bass part. So here is a list of upgrades I am considering and need help with

Big 3 upgrade

240A mechman alternator

Xs power A3400 battery

Hifonics goliath mono amp 3000w@ 1 ohm (cea certified)

Custom sub box

2x power acoustik mofo 12 inch 4 ohm 1500 RMS

head unit TBD

So any advice would be appreciated weather as I am headed in the right direction

Welcome from another mi guy. Unless you already bought it I'd stay away from hifonics. And there's probably better subs in that price range also =) two bstock sa 12s and a cab 1600.1 would get down pretty nice. I doubt the hifonics would get anywhere close to 3k cleanly. Also box is key. There's a shop up in bay city called altimate automotive. Great guys and great prices. A few dollars more and the cab ultra 12s would be better. Triple stacked 2.5" coil for 200$ is a win all day. Basically a triple stacked sa 12

Well everything I've listed I've already priced out and im sitting at $1900
Congrats if you get all that for 2k my ******* spent 5k but half my stuff is jl audio. Some of these guys here know their ****, i didnt really listen. Still happy with my build but coulda spent way less.

You were also determined to run nothing but retail priced jl. From a shop that saw you stary eyed and took full advantage, pretty sure guys have tons of advice but you stuck to your plan no matter what and had to learn the hard way. Lesson learned and I'm sure next time around will be better for you. I have two x15s in a custom aero box I did with two cab 1600s strapped and am under 1000$ in all that, waited for yardsale patiently and got a killer deal on the subs. My advice is when certain guys give advice is take it learn. These guys have thousands into theirs and learned the hard way through trial and error. For 5 grand you should be doing mid to high 150s and be loouuddd. Not disappointed. Not trying to be mean at all just being honest and trying to help you in the long run.

Most definately. Even the sales team tryd steering me away from the JLs. But whatever, live and learn. Ill wait for the mechman to come in to see how well that supplys power to the current system

Yeah sometime just gotta figure it out yourself. But in the future when you have guys like Jeff offering advice I'd take it and really research and learn. Jl isn't bad if it's cheap but retail is crazy. Could get brand new x12s for cheaper than jls at 550$
