Originally posted by Moocow16 i would have to disagree with most of you there. yes, i do agree though that there are a lot of mustangs out there, and while ford isn't a top quality company, i really don't think any of you have the right to ***** about considering i bet none of you have ever owned a ford. mustangs really don't ****, it's the people that drive them, they think that now that they have a mustang that they are going to win every race and therefore are really cocky. obviously, i own a mustang. while i admit it isn't the best car out there, i do know that i have one the fastest if not the fastest car at my school, the next closest would be a turbo shadow running about 21psi. the only real problem with fords is that they have a problem with rushing them out and into production, hence the focus haveing something like 6 recalls, like the rear wheels falling off, and the mustang II having a horrible *****. now, the reason i bought my stang, was becuase at the time, all i wanted was something with a big engine that i could sup up later. my car is crap, and i do admit that, unfortunately it was abused, a lot. so i don't have any working air conditioning, the windows don't roll down, there's no weatherstripping, none of the gauges work properly, etc. etc. etc. but for the money, i still believe that a 79-93 mustang is one of the best drag cars for the money. those years of stang have the most aftermarket performance parts available in the world! i mean, if you want a more luxurious car, sure, you can spend the 150g's on a ferrari, but if you want to drag, then you can always pick up a $4000 1988 stang(LX of course, less weight) and drop $20,000 into it, you could very easily have a 10 sec. car

yeah, i agree with you there, most of the stang drivers are a$$holes. but no really though, my cars a piece, i'll post some pics of my red and pink stang sometime(it turned pink after sitting in the sun for 14 years)

as far as 0-60 and 1/4m times, the boxster s and mustang gt aren't all that different. sure, the porsche has much better handling and everything, but it also costs a shitload more so...your choice

yeah, my only big problem with my stang is that every single rock you go over, you can feel it. definately not a good suspension

The lack of "go" many seem to be seeing in the mustangs certainly is only relevant to isolated areas of the country. I assue you, I have a few friends with 5.0 and 4.6 powered stangs that regularly put away LS1 equiped camaros on a daily basis. Some bone stock, some have a few minor bolt on's. Arround 99% of the Mustangs here have the means to back up an occasional rev of the engine.

I assure you, my SVT equipped Cougar(which has several Mustang parts), does not in any way suffer from any of the previous ailements aforementioned. In fact, it pretty well contradicts all of them in a big way.

No need to bring one car down, due to a few bad seeds, or for the fact that you personally do not like it.

yeah thanks. you'd think that people would be hiring right now. maybe it's just because i'm 16, but i can't get a job anywhere! not even toys'r'us, and it's christmas time. if i'm lucky i might get a job as a valet, IF i'm lucky, but luck has never seemed to be on my side
