Thanx Gauntlet, i knew somebody would back me up. I'm not a Mustang person either, or a Ford person for that matter. I just hate it when people rip on others for their cars just because that is all that person can afford. True statement about porsches too. I see them all at a country club and all of the real car enthusiasts have carreras or 911s.

Well I don't remember where in my post I said anything about driving a stang cuz they can't afford better,you fukken idiots read into that yourselves-as far as Carrera it is a rear wheel drive car not mid-engine and if you knew any fukken thing about anything you would know that the first Porsche was a Mid-engine roadster known as the 356,so before you talk out your *** get some facts,my post had nothing to do with being rich or piss poor.

My 85 firebird with a 2.8L V6 kicked the a$$ off of a 87 mustang 5.0.

I bet the guy $100 for a three block race (approx 1/4 mile measured) and my car was at the end waiting for his sorry a$$ - best $100 I ever made.

Mustang has been fords attempt to match GM's Camaro and Firebird since the Mid 70's. They have yet to build a better car.

P.S. and a T/A is just a souped up Firebird

P.P.S. The 944's are rear wheel drive and have a front mounted engine, but a heavy rear mounted trany to end up with a 50/50 weight distribution

Carrera and Boxster are two different cars with different purposes. Ones a 4 passenger GT and the other a 2 seat roadster. And the definition of poor sure has changed considering Boxsters range from 45-60k //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/greedy.gif.5a53e6246569d7ab79867170f3b06629.gif I wonder if the Maranello and GT guys call the Modena a poor mans Ferrari. I want to be a poor man!

Actually, the C2 and Targa are rear wheel drive. The C4, C4S, and Turbo, as you probably already knew, are all wheel.

i would have to disagree with most of you there. yes, i do agree though that there are a lot of mustangs out there, and while ford isn't a top quality company, i really don't think any of you have the right to ***** about considering i bet none of you have ever owned a ford. mustangs really don't ****, it's the people that drive them, they think that now that they have a mustang that they are going to win every race and therefore are really cocky. obviously, i own a mustang. while i admit it isn't the best car out there, i do know that i have one the fastest if not the fastest car at my school, the next closest would be a turbo shadow running about 21psi. the only real problem with fords is that they have a problem with rushing them out and into production, hence the focus haveing something like 6 recalls, like the rear wheels falling off, and the mustang II having a horrible *****. now, the reason i bought my stang, was becuase at the time, all i wanted was something with a big engine that i could sup up later. my car is crap, and i do admit that, unfortunately it was abused, a lot. so i don't have any working air conditioning, the windows don't roll down, there's no weatherstripping, none of the gauges work properly, etc. etc. etc. but for the money, i still believe that a 79-93 mustang is one of the best drag cars for the money. those years of stang have the most aftermarket performance parts available in the world! i mean, if you want a more luxurious car, sure, you can spend the 150g's on a ferrari, but if you want to drag, then you can always pick up a $4000 1988 stang(LX of course, less weight) and drop $20,000 into it, you could very easily have a 10 sec. car
