They're pretty efficient though.

Very efficient. If you wire two together, thats 4 ohm. Then you can bridge 2 channels and you end up with 4ohm mono, which means you end up with more power per speaker than if you went with a 4 ohm speaker.

selenium last alottttttttttt longer and get wayyy louder then whip audio...i have had both and i stuck with seleniums.... IMO...i blew a couple and i know i few friends that blew alottt of whip audio and they ended up going with seleniums....oh yeah 6inch seleniums ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i am waiting to get time and refiberghlass my front doors and put the 8's in there...8's and up in seleniums are the shit!!!!!!!!!!

What do you mean last longer? If you blow these, thats user error unless you are trying like 300-400rms each. Not loud? They scream. I think anyone who has heard them can vouch for that. For instance in Tommys truck he plays music at 160+ and these are heard easily over the bass.

Its a midrange. Really not much of a surround, not meant for midbass, just midrange.
