Sure sure. Your just making up for your tiny magnet //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
Haha, I'll just ignore the technical aspect and just respond on your level.

Shut up!

LMS coil needs some serious force
indeed. give me one of your omega's for it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

thanks for noticing that. i added that it's a 10. it was in the 10" on CACO, so i didn't have to worrie bout it.

If its so big you can feel free to send one my way, Ill take a nice look at it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Point being that the magnet is only a magnet. The magnet does not move the coil until current is applied to the coil, making it an electromagnet, which is repelled from or attracted to the permanent magnet which creates the serious force you referred to earlier.

Thank you for the lesson.

My point being the winding pattern on the LMS coil requires a very large motor gap to safely travel through. The gigantic motor structure makes up for the BL loss of a huge gap.

Gap is the same width between the LMS motor and a TC-9 motor. The added magnetic mass is to compensate for the lost BL due to less winding in the middle of the coil which accounts for the low sensitivity. At the extremes of the LMS coil, the width is the same as a TC 2000/3000 coil. We can keep going if you like. I own multiples of these drivers and have many of them apart in front of me.

Do I care? The fact remains, the gigantic motor structure is there to compensate for the lost BL. I've never ever seen an LMS variant before so I just assumed it was the gap. Big deal, its the coil. My point still remains. Care to split more hairs or should we just move on?

Assumption spreads misinformation. With a topic as "mystical" as LMS technology it would help to know what you're talking about before dropping knowledge next time. There are far too many people who don't really understand it to go around just stating vague factoids to further confuse them.

So my original question remains, are you accepting any trades or do you just want cash for this, dj?

Give me a break dude. PM me your address, I'll send you a cold beer to relax a bit. My point is correct, I was wrong on the cause. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif
