well it was in this box, which had hardly any air space and it was probbaly the loudest you can get in a single cab ford ranger, it hits pretty hard and deep for what it is, i put it in the back of my explorer one time just to see waht it would sound like and needless to say it sounded hella better, i thin jl did good designing the sub but just general law of physics that a sub NEEDS air space regardless the size. anyway, it sounded pretty legit....

and to add, the box costed me 140 dollars, its some kind of something special besides mdf, that spray on, not plexy glass but something else, if you want box with it ill let both go for 320, the sub was 500 when friend of mine bought it, then the box was made by local car audio shop, i know altogether he bought amp off line and everything all said and done with a new head unit was liek 1200 dollars. including installation and what not
