I have a 18" Quad 1ohm Eclipse (Fujitsu ten) Ti Pro that was OEMd by TC Sounds. The sub has the removable top assembly. It has been sitting in my garage awaiting a HT build all year but I have invested too much time into other things and do not have the time to finish this build while I am attending school. I would like $450+ shipping and am also very open to trades if you have something that catches my eye. The subwoofer is in near mint condition, the cone has no dents of scratches and the motor has very few minor scratches on the bottom which are hard to see.

using the weight as reference, as weighed by ups, the packaging plus sub = 24lbs which is correct. that is what it weighed when ups accepted the package. when Matt got it the weight is around 15 lbs. so by deduction you could conclude that the sub was in the box when ups got it and it was replaced at some point before Matt opened it (based on my trust in Matt)

Exactly, that is really what this is based on. It certainly does not seem like he is the type of guy that would do this but I know you have been screwed over many times in the past. I don't trust anyone in this situation because of something like this happening. Either way, good luck figuring it out

I just don't understand why they would have any reason to open it if there were no indications on what was inside. For all they knew it could have been books, is it worth the risk to them?? I dont know..
a buch of boxes with rd audio stickers on them among other company's packages (for example)that have been put on that truck in the past wouldnt help. the same package handler loads that truck every day. they just remember the address

Usually they stick the shipping labels over the opening of the box; That way they can prove if people where in the box or have opened it. Was the shipping label over the opening? If so was it cut then retaped? When I ship high Value items out (Like my 7k2d) I put tape over ever place that the box can be opened. Then I sign it and date it. I also put a couple other things inside that only I know of, That way I know when the person opens the item.

probally where it arrived, youve had mad stuff shipped through there right? odds are one or more of youre packages has probally came through there damaged and had to be tapped up/repacked. so one of the package handlers knows youre address and knows you get alot of subs/amps and audio equipment through there and has been waiting to make his move. all they have to do is damage the box get the QA clerk to ''repack'' it and make the switch. or it could be the driver all he would have to do is wait till he's on the road and make the switch, cause it dosent look like that box wnt to far with that gallon of water in it.
This is true and I have had several subs like the Sundown Nightshade damaged and repacked at that HUB, Jacob Fuller had his own issue with that place but the took care of him.

I dont have any idea either other then what Justin Smith said, could make sense but seems a bit far fetched bu then again I never worked at a shipping place. I have had tens of thousands of dollars shipped here in the past year but never had an issue, which is what confuses the hell outta me

btw, KMAN.. did you ship the sub in packing peanuts? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
if so, shitty job @ packaging..
Eh its a CM, pretty light, the peanuts would probably do the job just fine
wrapped in bubble wrap first;)
I disagree.
I have shpped upwards of 25 UL12s and never had a damaged one, knock on wood!

I totally understand where you are coming from and that is why Kmanian and I are trying to work this out to the best of our abilities. I have been screwed over on this site before on much larger purchases, like cars (and not just one but two). Beleive me when I say I would wish nothing like that ever upon anyone, not even an enemy as it is such a shitty feeling. But when it is on someone who I trust and they trust me it really really bothers me.

Kmanian and I will do what ever we can to settle this and deal with the shipping company. Until the smoke clears I plan to search around on CL and ebay to see if any posts up a used UL12, I figure they are not the easiest subwoofers to come across, so that may bring a lead. Not really sure what else I can do I am trying to do what ever I can though as I know I am not in the wrong and I dont see Kmanian doing such a thing either.

they have to be elaborate because there is alot of cameras in the terminals, its not one person job. theyve been waiting to make their move, a 24lb sub is alot easier to get out of a building than a 50-60lb+ sub

This is really in Matts hand as I believe it happened near or in the desination, i almost guarentee that bottle of water would have sprung a leak if it happened very far from Matts apt.

If nothing is found out, I will not argue it is my loss. unfortunately.
