I have a 18" Quad 1ohm Eclipse (Fujitsu ten) Ti Pro that was OEMd by TC Sounds. The sub has the removable top assembly. It has been sitting in my garage awaiting a HT build all year but I have invested too much time into other things and do not have the time to finish this build while I am attending school. I would like $450+ shipping and am also very open to trades if you have something that catches my eye. The subwoofer is in near mint condition, the cone has no dents of scratches and the motor has very few minor scratches on the bottom which are hard to see.

there arn't enough peanuts in the box to keep the gallon from moving/sloshing around. Did you remove any?
yes they are in the larger box, the gallon was at the bottom of the small box which was at the bottom of the big box. I lifted the small box on top and opened it then removed peanuts as necessary till I got to that, also some foam noodle pieces were in there as well that were removed.

If UPS didnt know what was in it, then why would they open it? The other option is if you marked the value at the value of the sub it could have enticed them. I just have a feeling it is within the receiving household, either the roommate or the receiver.
Then why was the package weight 24 lbs?

What? the package was 24 pounds because that is what the sub weighed when it was shipped, that makes sense. That is why I said it seems like it took place within the receiving household/ not the shipping household

no marks as I recall, no insurance because unless they pack it and you have a valid reputable reciept, your screwed anyways. plus if you put $750 sub in the insurance discription, you might as well just give it to a crack head.

Would this most likely be at the point were he shipped it out or where it had arrived (Jannesville, WI hub)/QUOTE]

probally where it arrived, youve had mad stuff shipped through there right? odds are one or more of youre packages has probally came through there damaged and had to be tapped up/repacked. so one of the package handlers knows youre address and knows you get alot of subs/amps and audio equipment through there and has been waiting to make his move. all they have to do is damage the box get the QA clerk to ''repack'' it and make the switch. or it could be the driver all he would have to do is wait till he's on the road and make the switch, cause it dosent look like that box wnt to far with that gallon of water in it.

I must be high. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Dur on my part.

Usually they stick the shipping labels over the opening of the box; That way they can prove if people where in the box or have opened it. Was the shipping label over the opening? If so was it cut then retaped? When I ship high Value items out (Like my 7k2d) I put tape over ever place that the box can be opened. Then I sign it and date it. I also put a couple other things inside that only I know of, That way I know when the person opens the item.

SO you can see why all signs point to something happened within the receiving household yes? directed at kmanian
I do.

I just don't understand why they would have any reason to open it if there were no indications on what was inside. For all they knew it could have been books, is it worth the risk to them?? I dont know..

I just have a feeling it is within the receiving household, either the roommate or the receiver. I am not accusing someone, I am being objective seeing that I do not know any of you. Like I said you seem like a good guy but 500 bucks is 500 bucks at the same time
I understand you dont know either of us but we know one another and have no reason to do something like this. It is indeed hard times in the economy for some but not me. I have no reason to take a sub specially an SQ sub, if you know anything about me I am a big time SPL competitor. I dont really appreciate your accusations with out any knowledge of what is going on. I can check all over if my room mate did indeed take it but I have no reason to see him ever do that, all though I will remain to keep my eyes open.

Not fishy on your part bro.
Fishy in general. You were sending him YOUR stuff on YOUR dollar.. giving him the choice to say yes or no.. why would you send him a gallon of water? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

You wouldn't. You'd gain nothing, but lose money from shipping it out.
I understand where this looks fishy and I agree, that is why I am freaking out here, it is putting me in a tough spot. Kmanian is the one who sent out the package on his dollar, he had no reason to not send the subwoofer and there for I beleive him, the problem is now i get a package with nothing but peanuts and some foam, how do I react to something like this? Honestly I have no idea what to do in this situation but I told Kmanian I will do what ever I possibly can to make things work between us. We are both good people with amazing records. Neither of us have reason to ruin that and I plan to do what ever I can to take care of this.

who cares, how hard is it to reclose a box? if it was a fail package, close it right back up, no issue.

using the weight as reference, as weighed by ups, the packaging plus sub = 24lbs which is correct. that is what it weighed when ups accepted the package. when Matt got it the weight is around 15 lbs. so by deduction you could conclude that the sub was in the box when ups got it and it was replaced at some point before Matt opened it (based on my trust in Matt)

We'll see what happens when the smoke clears. Good luck getting everything settled.

Hope it works out in both of your favor.. unless one of you is a scamming dick head, then you should die.

Until that is proven, good luck, as I said.
