I have a 18" Quad 1ohm Eclipse (Fujitsu ten) Ti Pro that was OEMd by TC Sounds. The sub has the removable top assembly. It has been sitting in my garage awaiting a HT build all year but I have invested too much time into other things and do not have the time to finish this build while I am attending school. I would like $450+ shipping and am also very open to trades if you have something that catches my eye. The subwoofer is in near mint condition, the cone has no dents of scratches and the motor has very few minor scratches on the bottom which are hard to see.

Daaaaaaamn son. Seems fishy, but on the same token.. Kman was sending the sub so Bumpin could TEST it and see if he liked it or not..
That's why it seems messed up.

I dont get what your saying?

I think he is just clarifying that you are the one that got screwed over here, and with something that expensive I wouldn't be surprised especially someone with good feedback on here. It is the perfect crime

likewise, and to make it clear, I sent the ul12 first to let him see of he liked it and it was acceptable for his needs. My risk. I hope we find out something further soon however.
Yup and we had done this on the DDZ battery in the past, only difference is that one showed up and not water. Also I beleive you had bought some Stingers from me in the past as well.

OK,
1 gal of water weighs 8 lbs

the packing there is almost definately not 16lbs.

The box was weighed at the UPS store so it was switched out after that.
I guess my next question, because Im really unable to find any marks a sub would leave when traveling, was someone at the UPS store aware this was a subwoofer? I mean if it had been changed in shipping I was still expecting to see some mark somewhere on the box, all though I know its only a 16lb sub. Assuming that is the material it was first packaged in I guess I expected some sort of ring from the motor freely moving around lightly in that box.

I have done this many times before. I have even sent a ul12 out for someone to simply try without any reward or benefit to me. Why is it fishy that I sent him the sub first?

man i work at fedex ground and ive seen some shady shyt go down, mostly people steal pills and shyt, but ive seen people take video games and cloths and stuff. this one kid tried to take a tv but he got busted. ill tell you that the only person that could pull that off in a fedex/ups terminal would be the QA clerk or a manager. if i were you i would go up there at about 3-4am whenever they do the inbound sort and raise holy hell. if it happened in the building they'll find it on the cameras

unless that was a brand new sealed gallon of water i would imagine in transit it would have opened. I didnt look at pics closely but was it still sealed? or was it reused?

not calling anyone out here, hell i plan to buy some batts from bumpin buick if he gets that pallet again

Why would the shipping company have any reason to open the box? Was it ever disclosed to them what was inside.? This seems to fishy to be a shipping heist. I don't know either of you and it appears both of you are stand up guys but looking at it from the outside I would have guessed the receiver opened the box took the sub out and put a gallon of water in there to make it seem like something happened in shipping.
I also have in question if UPS was aware of what was in the box as I feel that would have changed a few things.

Get the water bottle finger printed.
$10 bucks it was your roomate. Im guessing he sees all the nice stuff you get so maybe he took it. Is he having financial problems or anything like that?
My roommate has no where to put it and he is a stand up guy... honestly I grew up with this guy and I trust him more then anyone he has no interest in the sport or money... hes kind of a hippy.

yep, and in light of the battery case issue, I thought it was only fair to give you the benefit of checking out the product first.

honestly they are light enough that a mark might not be evident, especially in a bigger box.

unless it says something on the label, nope there is no indication of what it is. which leads me to believe it may be closer to your side of the world:crap:

look in your fridge and see what color the cap on the milk... is;)

Would this most likely be at the point were he shipped it out or where it had arrived (Jannesville, WI hub)

Its hard to tell, but im pretty sure it was opened.

I totally understand, I'm just trying to be objective

definatly a huge issue here and Kmanian and I are looking into this
I went home for the weekend and when I returned to whitewater my roommate had signed for the box for me. I opened it up to find well... I will let the pictures talk. I confronted my roommate and he claims he had not touched it what so ever. I am not pointing fingers and Kent and I have done deals in the past with one another and never had an issue so we will be doing what ever we can to work it out. I don't suspect Kent to ever do something like this specially to me and that is why I am at the conclusion that the shipping service played some part in this.

This is what it originally looked like when I found it.

there arn't enough peanuts in the box to keep the gallon from moving/sloshing around. Did you remove any?

I am taking in all the suggestions I can right now man, honestly I have no clue how to handle this right now, I never had something like this happen and I never expected it specially when dealing with a good guy like you. I guess where I was curious is if when the package was dropped off if anything about it being a subwoofer was mentioned, thats the first thing I can think of.

As per the person who accused me of putting the water bottle there myself, anyone who knows me knows I would never do something shady like that. My reputation in this sport is worth much more then a sub to me. I have had $50,000 in sale on this site alone. I have a name in this sport, I wouldnt throw it away on a subwoofer that was atleast holding the same value as my Ti Pro which is $450.

Not fishy on your part bro.

Fishy in general. You were sending him YOUR stuff on YOUR dollar.. giving him the choice to say yes or no.. why would you send him a gallon of water? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

You wouldn't. You'd gain nothing, but lose money from shipping it out.

If UPS didnt know what was in it, then why would they open it? The other option is if you marked the value at the value of the sub it could have enticed them. I just have a feeling it is within the receiving household, either the roommate or the receiver. I am not accusing someone, I am being objective seeing that I do not know any of you. Like I said you seem like a good guy but 500 bucks is 500 bucks at the same time
