I haven't done detailed listening, but they sound pretty decent when I tested them "in the lab" so to speak. I should drop one in my car sealed and take a detailed listen... probably will if they don't sell soon.

so would you say that the konakis are a sq style of dd basically or what. I would like to have one of these, however i am not sure what it would be applicable for.....i have a ttb designed for a 9512, i wonder how this would fair in there with around 1kw

With the parts I put in this sub will have a much better usable response than the DD... has a mid Q and a very low Fs so your going to be looking at much more low-end. It would do very well with 1kw of power. The Konaki in it's stock form actually has less low-end than a DD, but the parts I used in the re-build are much more suitable for a good response.
