I dint get the difference in the hd and the vfl other than the voice coils the motor look similar in size and I know the gap is prolly alot tighter in the vfl but really other than a tighter gap and higher power handling granted both are beast in their price catagories

VFL has a 4" flatwound coil and HD is 3".. but like you said I'm not sure about the rest. I know the HD is a mostly SPL sub anyways but this one even more so

This has a tight gap, 4 layer coil and linear roll spiders. Its not as stiff as a xfl or hd series. Prob the most daily friendly sub from xfl up. 1.5-3 cubes with 16-20 sq in of port per cube.

Thats about what i figured I know my hd12 was nasty loud on 3k if I wasnt going for sq on my next built I would prolly get a vfl 12. Definitely one of my preferred audio manufacturers
