these are the drivers from the type-r component set. i ran them in my back doors on my last car and will not be putting them in my new car.

one driver had a small cut in the surround that i put a little clear caulk on. this does not effect the speaker at all.

HOW bad does the cut affect them?

not at all. there is no difference in sound between the 2.

it looks big in the close up pic. but its less than your finger wide.

Where did you have these set crossover wise? I might be interested, but I'm having issues with my own 6.5" mids from my fronstage Type-R's. Could be an amp issue though.

cut off at 80. i really only ran them for about 3 months. i bought them right before i sold my car. they havent seen action since september.
