Frozen Subwoofer Testing Results

id like to see if a higher excursion woofer would make a difference. but it may have been said in this thread before but im to lazy to read //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I just did a little exparement of my own.

e12a soft parts.

(does not include 0.6ohm correction)

DC resistance at ambient temperature: 2.3ohm

DC resistance after having a good chill with 'air'cans: 1.8ohm

DC resistance after being heated with a blow tourch: 5.3ohm

My temperature probe wasnt working on the multimeter so I have no idea what the temperatures of the coil where.

wouldn't make a difference..

a 5" spider at its limits is the same thing as an 8" spider at its limits..

not many people figured out that you were ****ing with that tard, atleast not quickly.

Loyd, you've already done plenty, take a vacation //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I think loyd does things like this because he has nothing better to do and it makes his E-Points go up...

Random tests are the best. I have AP chem and our random (hey, I wonder if this works) labs are much better than the ones in the handbook.

hahaa!!!

Liquid nitrogen, then heating it ip... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

No valid reason why really... just cuz... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

is there any specific reason the spider temp never got down to freezing?

if the issue truly is moisture in the spider freezing, and causing it to crack when it has to move, this obviously wouldn't happen in your testing.

was the excursion test done while still in the freezer?

real-world conditions can get colder than a freezer, and the first few minutes of play time would also be in very cold conditions (until the car warms up).
