Front components not working :(

I just got done installing my sub, but now my front components dont work. The component amp is working (ie light is on, not protect), rcas connected right (HU -> amp), wiring is right, gains all down. The components worked befored I hooked up the subwoofer. I dont know whats wrong, please help.

unplug the sub amp. do they come back on?

What kind of HU? Might check your setting in the HU and make sure you dont have something set wrong.

If they were working prior to the new install and you can eliminate the possibility of the component amp not being defective (remember: that light being on doesn't necessarily mean it isn't bad....just food for thought) then it has to be human error.

Check, recheck, and recheck again all your wiring (power connections, speaker wire connections, interconnect connections, etc etc etc)

Troubleshooting can be a major pain but I'd rather troubleshoot something and correct it rather than having to replace something that isn't necessarily broken.

ok thanks guys i will check again....also should I set the gains now or after. The reason I ask is because the components might not be getting enough power.

I would say that if you are currently getting no output from your components (for whatever the reason) that it would potentially be rather difficult to set the gains???
