friends amp ???????????

my homeboy has a us amps vlx400 and i was wondering if any one has heard of it??? its an old skool amp and he had it pushing 6 12s and now he has it pushing 4 15 dd and he only has it turned up about a quarter of the way.but i was just wondering because this thing pounds

 
its a great old school amp bro... it is an A/B class, so its not that efficient... if i remember correctly its only around 50-60% at full tilt... pulls ALOT of current too.

but if you got the electrical to back it up, its def a great old school amp

You have a blown cap in the amp more than likely. Had the same thing happen to a soundstream amp.

No need to bypass the amp. Most use an LOC that takes the full amped signal and turns it into a flat RCA level signal. Here is the newest I have...
