friend got caught up

i have a friend that got caught up with a 40 worth of drugs (MARY J) and its his first offense as a adult and hes a lil nervous because he dosent want to get in a lot of trouble. So i'm asking what will he get as a result plus he had a sandwich bag box. What will happen?

PROBATION, FINE?

i wold have known but i've only been charged with B in E and possesion WHEN I WAS A MINOR.

Was he in Columbus or a suburb (reynoldsburg, ghanna, etc) because they have different laws. Either way, its been said on here, Ohio doesn't have stiff laws on that. First offense, probation, and most likely a sentence that will not have to be served unless he screws up. I know that sounds like probation but when I was at the reynoldsburg court house a guy got probation for drugs AND he was sentenced to a 6 month stay but was not required to go.

Thats sucks, here in cali they dont do too much when you get caught with a small amount.

he will prolly get like 8-9 years and a $500,000 fine.

i got caught with 22 grams. all i got was ryan and ryan classes umm 150 dollar fine and 14 hours comutinty sevice and 6 mounths probation.

So he had about 14-15 grams with him. So long as the word "scale" arnt mentioned in the police report the cops that busted him let him off easy. That means hes getting charged with possesion & not attempt to distribute which would probably carry a herfy charge/fine.

I wouldnt worry about it.

i didnt read all of this thread, but the prices are different depending on where you are...one of my freinds just moved here from cali, and he was tellin me out there, everyone has dro, its hard to find shwag, where as here in texas its the exact oppisite. here i can get an ounce of above average shwag for 50, and a dime of dro will be .3-.5g's depending on who you get it from, and i wanna say that where he lived in cali, an ounce of dro ran him about 150(I THINK)...

also, i dont know what the law is like where you are, but ive had freinds put in jail for getting caught rolling a blunt...

Really, that is strange, because my buddy Jeff did 4 years in a rehab center up in Detriot due to just pot! Yeah, he was selling it, and had a bong in his car, but did 6 months in jail and 4 yrs in rehab over it. Well in nebraska u would get possesion of marijuana less than an ounce and that a $100 fine and i would thin worst case would be with intent to distribute or sell and i dont know what they would give 4 that so.............$100 fine..........yank, yanky, yank, yank, yank but the rest............good luck with that homie!
