Frequency Response of subs?

How important is the frequency response of subwoofers? For example, what would be the difference between a 20-250 vs a 30-150? I know that anything above 100 is midbass and you don't want your subs producing midbass. So I guess the difference is between 20 and 30. 20 is lower, deeper, duh, but do songs go that low?

the lower fs subs are able to play lower, impedance rises at fs. Not saying high fs subs cant play low. doubt you'll hear much 30hz from songs. I would say majority of songs range from 35hz-60hz .
