1.4 cu ft sealed for a 12" L5. I made the box entirely out of scrap wood.

The fleckstone needs to be touched up in some areas, but overall the stuff goes on THICK. Which is nice. It's going to take 1.5 cans to cover this box nicely.

Ever think about putting a thin coat of filler across the joints? it makes them invisable after sanding. Also do you use cut sheet programs? It can make having "scrap" pieces easier.

But if your building a lot of boxes, it is helpful so you dont have a lot of waste and are able to maximize scrap for the next build. Let mee know and i will link you to a free DL of one.

Thanks. Every new box I do I usually add something, or do something new, like on this one I lined the seams with silicone. Usually I use wood glue or liquid nails. Silicone is MUCH more effective.

I can't fit a full sheet of MDF in it, let alone a half sheet. I have Home Depot cut it in to 2 x 4's for me.

I like the filler idea, I have a box I'm building tomorrow, I'll try it out fo' so'.

Feels like a rough stone. Very durable finish, great stuff. Not very cheap though.

very nice, especially for the price.

Couple of tips to make things easier:

Use bondo to fill the seams and sand smooth/prime before painting as it'll look much better. And wipe off the excess glue with a wet rag "before" using the silicone, then smooth it out with your finger.
