If anyone needs a small sealed/ported box built, I'd be more than happy to help out and build one for free. I'm no bjfish, but I can build a pretty nice box, using just a circular saw. I guarantee all my cuts to be within 1/32 of an inch, and for each box to be completely sealed.

Just pay for wood ($26), plus a few extra $$ for screws ($3), and shipping costs.

I don't do anything fancy, just basic boxes. No router, etc. I do sand everything down real nice, and would have no problem covering the box in truck bedliner, so long as you pay it.

I just have a lot of free time, and get really bored, LOL, and I'm looking to improve my skills.

Nothing complicated, I'd like to keep it to under 2 cubes, because of shipping costs and packaging complications.

PM me if you're interested. Thanks.

Also, the hole is cut out with a jig saw, and all screws are counter-sunk.

If you're looking for a super nice box, built by a professional, look elsewhere. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

****, I need a box built and was about to start on it myself, just hard to find time to do it...but it's 4.5 cubes. What would shipping be on something that size? You probably wouldn't even do it??

haha thats cute. Circular saws are real handy though. dunno about for box building
they're handy when its all you have...

a table saw is essential though if you ever want to "kerf". it can be done with a hand saw, but the blade isn't thick enough
i kerfed my box with a circular saw... it sucked, and it was kinda rough... but it turned out ok

good luck on your box building endeavors!

not trying to diss but 32$ for under 2 cubes? Surely it dont take a whole sheet for under 2 cubes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif.

1. How did you get $32? I see $26 for wood and $3 for screws = $29

2. Show me where you can get a custom box built to your specs for less than $29 + shipping.

You can do kerf cuts fine with a circular saw, you just need to do the math for the blade width.

Smaller blade = more cuts closer together.

More cuts closer together = smoother kerf.

Hmmm, yeah I wouldn't really be interested in doing such a large box. I wouldn't even have a way of getting it to the post office! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

When you kerf the box, do you have to soak it or do the cuts allow for the bend on its own?

Oh and to the OP...is this a limited time thing or are you going to continue to do this? I'll need a box in the future.

No need to soak it (MDF doesn't soak, it's more like a sponge, it will just **** up the water)

When you make the cuts you are removing material that will allow the wood to "bend", just make sure you make your cuts the right depth.

few hours? i'd think 4 at least to tallahassee.. It'd be I-95 to I-10 and going west on I-10.. Or turnpike ALL the way up to I-10 which will cost more.. Pretty far.

$41 and a blowjob from your mom.
whos the blowjob for? me? We all know you don't like the girls //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
