four 8 inch subs or two 15 inch subs?

right now my i have 4 sundown audio sa8 v2's on a saz 1500d im very happy with them but i want the low bass and the hard hits, my plan is to sell my sa8 v2's with the box keep the saz 1500d and get a second 1500d and strap them, then get 2 15"s rated at 1500w rms each and build a box for them. the main question is will it be worth the time and money to go to the 2 15"s? or will it just be a waste of money to make it just a little bit more loud? whats everyones opinion on this?

Do 15s, a good bit more cone area. Should be a good bit louder than your current setup, especially if you get a second saz 1500.

^^^Agreed. It's a lot more cone area. And double the watts. You'll notice a huge difference. 4 8's is almost like running 2 12's. 2 15's is about 3 12's.

find a way to do 2 18s in a cobalt and im down haha and also find someone to buy my 8's with the box ;p they have maybe 2 hours of play time on them. also could 2 15's on 3k pull of a hair trick in a cobalt?

I like single sub setups in small cars (I own an eclipse). It would be much better to get one sub in a optimum box than 2 subs inna box that's too small. Say an 18, you could really go crazy on the sub (sell the 4 8's) with custom stuff. Use the money from the 8's to get a high end box built into the car, and buy a second sundown to strap them. the only problem with that is i need the box to be removable because my battery is back there but what your saying is get a single 3k rms 18 build a box for it and strap two saz1500d to it? is it really gonna be worth going from four 8s to one 18? or would 2 15s be bettter either way im gonna strap two 1500d's so 3k is the watts to matter what but what would be better 18 or 2 15's also i want a hair trick bad haha is it gonna happen?

I did 2 18s in a saturn ion, essentially the same car. Walled though so im not sure thats what you have planned. Trying to make 2 15s fit in that trunk properly will not work, you will most likely be worse off

If you want to go the 18 route i have an AQ hdc4 18 im trying to sell and i live in PA, im only looking for 300 bucks and 3k on it is a walk in the park. Also it is a dual 1 ohm sub so you could strap two 1500s to it perfectly. let me know if you have interest i can send you pictures etc, i live about 3 and a half hours from you so we could always meet up for a sale

well i could fit 2 15"s pretty easy in my car i think so the question now is whats gonna be the best option to make it significantly louder and hit harder and most importantly make it hit those deadly lows lol 1 18 or 2 15s? both on 3k.
